Dear Donald,

A couple of incidents where regular people pulled guns on other regular people occurred recently. By regular people, I mean non police american citizens pulling guns out on other american citizens for quite insignificant reasons.

Tensions are high.

I don’t know much about any of the people involved in these recent incidents other than the basic similarities in each situation.

The people who pulled the guns felt threatened. The people who had the guns pulled on them believed that having guns pulled on them was an over-reaction.

When you think about it, Black Lives Matter was born out of the same type interaction. George Zimmerman felt the neighborhood he was protecting was under threat and this led to an interaction that resulted in him pulling out his gun and killing a kid. The kid was simply walking home and George Zimmerman took offensive action even though he was not a police officer. He over-reacted and it ended badly.

Why did George Zimmerman, the recent individuals and so many others who are police and non-police feel threatened enough to pull their guns and in some instances pull their triggers?

This has been going on before you showed up on the political scene but you are definitely a part of fanning the flames and helping people to equate blackness with violence. Yes, those who pulled the guns were white and they pointed their guns at black people.

Over the past few years, we’ve witnessed numerous instances of white people calling the police on black people for insignificant reasons all of which include feeling threatened. With calls for defunding the police and police calling in “sick” in various municipalities, it is possible that the recent gun pointers believed that they had to take things into their own hands.

What a mess we have here. You, a self described “law & order” type who insisted that 5 men were guilty even after they were proven to be innocent, know very little about justice. You a serial bankrupter who brags that evading taxes and cheating investors out of their money is only doing what the law allows, know very little about justice. You, a thrice married adulterer who puts loyalty to you above all else without reciprocation, know very little about justice.

You are a sad example of someone who over reacts when feeling threatened. You retreated to your bunker when you felt threatened by nearby protesters and then you over-reacted by calling out the military.

You set the example for so many American citizens. No mask for you, no mask for them. No telling the truth for you, no telling the truth for them. Crudeness and juvenile bickering for you, crudeness and bickering for them. Unabashed pursuit of money and power for you, the same for them. Feel threatened then over react for you, feel threatened and over react for them.

It’s too bad that you didn’t over react to the novel coronavirus. Maybe if you believed the virus were black, you would have been able to convince yourself and others to over react and protect themselves and we would not be in the predicament we find ourselves in. You've already racialized it to deflect blame from your inaction. It is not too late to racialize it to change people's behavior.

Your “people”, as you call them, believe almost everything you and Fox News tell them. Here's an idea: Tweet that current research reveals that the coronavirus is actually a black thug in disguise who is intent on robbing America of its riches, it’s heritage and it’s greatness. You could call it Obamavirus.

Or you could say current research suggests the virus is mutating and taking on the genetic material of the most vulnerable in our society: the elderly, blacks and hispanics. Go on to say the new mutation carries this genetic material of the most vulnerable into the bodies of it's new hosts and becomes part of them. As a result, those newly infected become old, part black and hispanic, genetically at least. You could give it a clever racist name like old-fart, nigger, wetback flu.

Either conspiracy theory you promote will get part of the American public to immediately recognize the danger this virus presents and they will reflexively over-react thus protecting themselves and their families from this vile intrusion into their lives. Just think, promoting both theories just might be the strategy that changes behavior and allows the economy to come roaring back in time for the election.

By the way, If nobody has informed you, please note that according to the Johns Hopkins COVID 19 Map* as of July 2, 2020 at 8:33pm EST, under your leadership and your non-action, there are 128,743 Americans killed by Covid-19 and 2,739,230 CONFIRMED cases.
